Mr. Wisner is Aston’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He has led the development and expansion of Aston since its inception 18 years ago. Together with Joanna Chen, Nancy Shen, Michael Wisner and other key staff, he was a key part of setting up Aston in 1996, building it from a single two classroom operation to an international educational company. He received his B.A. in English Literature from University of California- Los Angeles.
Hoe Lon is a seasoned trader and manager. He has 18 years of experience in financial markets, last the CEO of Tudor Capital Singapore, also a portfolio manager focusing on discretionary macro trading. During this time, he had a peak AUM above $500 million and was the top performer of the fund in 2013. Before joining Tudor, he was a Managing Director in Goldman Sachs Hong Kong focusing on South East Asian markets. He started his career in Deutsche Bank London. Singapore's Capital Markets and Financial Advisory examination board appointed him as a study guide writer this year. He held a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and received his Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick.
Nicholas Ingleton is an Australian who has been involved in publishing and educational services in Asia for over 40 years. In 1968 he was employed by Time Inc. to manage the creation of Time Life Books operations in countries throughout Asia. As managing director for Time Life Books in Asia he developed substantial presences for Time Inc.’s book and educational businesses in Japan and China and served as chairman of Time Life Educational Systems in Japan. In 1986 he took over the presidency of the family-owned Tuttle Corporation publishing and distribution businesses in Japan and America. A number of these businesses have been divested, but Mr. Ingleton continues to lead Tuttle, where he also administers various family investments in Asia.
Mr. Guo GuangBao is currently the President of ShanDong Property Management Institute in Jinan, China, where he also holds office as a certified Expert on International Property Management in China, Executive Director of the China Property Management Association, MBA Instructor at ZhongNan University of Economics and Law, ShanDong Government Procurement Center Specialist, and is continually named an academic leader of Property Management in ShanDong Province. Mr. Guo established the first Property Management Institute in China, and continues to proactively participate in international exchanges and cooperation. He has been an integral part of Jinan Aston’s success and has played a key role in Aston’s development in Shandong Province and China. He has received a number of awards from the government, including “Advanced Individual in ShanDong Vocational Education”, “Individual of Outstanding Contribution” for Property Construction Training, and “One of the Top Ten Principals” in the province. Mr. Guo holds a bachelors degree and MBA.
Mr. Yang DongHua joined in Aston in 1999 and has played a key role in Aston’s national and international expansion. He served as Vice President of Legal Affairs and Business Development for several years, and later as Chairman of Aston International Academy. He is currently the President of Aston Global. Prior to his work with Aston, Mr. Yang worked in training and sales for an Information Technology company. Mr. Yang received his B.A in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, one of the top universities in China.
Robert Wisner worked as an executive of Hamamastu Corporation in Japan for over 20 years, where from 1999 to 2009 he served as vice president of sales and Marketing for North and South America. Robert Wisner retired in 2009 currently sits on the Aston Educational Group board.
Mr. Pollock has worked as a Consultant to the CEO for several years, helping design Aston’s strategy for growth. Before taking on the role of Consultant to the CEO, Mr. Pollock held the position of Executive Vice President of AEG for several years. Before joining Aston, Mr. Pollock worked in management for the Bay Company in Canada for over 30 years.
Joanna Chen (Chen Hua Feng)
Ms. Chen has been with Aston since its inception in 1996, and has been an integral part of Aston’s success. She has served as Aston’s President since 2008. She previously served as Executive Vice President, as well as Director of Dalian Aston English School. Ms. Chen received her EMBA from Beijing University, and her B.A. from Dalian University of Foreign Languages.
Director, Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Godwin joined Aston in 2004 and has served as the Chief Operations Officer since 2011. He previously held positions as the Executive Vice President of Aston, Director of the Dalian Aston English School and Deputy Director for Aston’s Northeast Region. Mr. Godwin is a fluent Mandarin speaker and holds a B.A. in Economics and Chinese from University of Wisconsin – Madison.
